I know I'm squeaking this message in right under the wire, but I wanted to
share some items specifically for teachers before you all head off for the
summer.

Survey Follow-Up:
I wanted to thank all of you again for completing our technology survey.  We
had about 3,250 responses.  That was outstanding, and the data is very
helpful.  I really appreciate it.  You can expect that I'll also be in touch
when you return from summer break.
Reminder, Technology Center Tours:
I wanted to remind everyone that we'll be hosting some tours for those of
you that are interested.  The dates that we currently have available are:
.         June 22 - 1:00 PM & 2:30 PM
.         June 23 - 2:30 PM
.         June 25 - 9:00 AM
.         June 28 - 1:00 PM
.         June 29 - 1:00 PM

Change Your Password Before You Leave:
I know that many of you will want to access your e-mail or other District
systems while you're on break.  Remember that our passwords expire every 90
days.  If you have changed your password recently, you should go ahead and
do it now.  That will reset the 90-day clock, so it won't expire over the
summer.  Also, remember to take your new password with you. A lot of people
change it and forget the new one. J
Using Webmail Over the Summer:
We will be performing some maintenance and upgrades to the e-mail system
over the summer.  Normally, you would use the address
http://webmail.leeschools.net <http://webmail.leeschools.net/>  to access
your mail.  At some point, your account will probably be moved to the new
server.  The new address will be Http://mail.leeschools.net
<http://mail.leeschools.net/> .  If the old address stops working for you,
go ahead and use the new one.
Attention: Read This if You're Working on Your Web Site Over The Summer:
I know that many of you are working on your class web site over the summer.
Remember that you should be using one of our hosting systems for that.  We
had a lot of interest in teacher web sites on our survey.  So, I'm going to
be sending out some tips to help you.  These will focus on our SharePoint
platform.  Be sure to check your e-mail via the web to read those tips.   
Also, if you don't already have a teacher web site using SharePoint, your
tech person can provision one for you.  That way you can work on it over the
summer.
