To all Lee County Substitute Teachers

For some time your Association has been advocating to get a training session
on the use of the Smart Board just for Substitutes. After a long delay we
are pleased to announce that we have accomplished this goal.
This will be unlike the districts Smart Board training which is a 12 hour
course offered in 2 (6) hour phases. Where as in the district course you
will receive in-service points, No points will be offered in the Association
course. The course we are offering will be a three (3) hour over view on the
use of smart board, and will not go into as much depth and detail for
designing instruction. For those subs who need the points you will still
need to take the district training of 12 hours, thru staff development.
The Associations course has been scheduled for Friday January 13th at 5:30
pm at the districts central offices on Colonial Ave., class-room C.
This class is offered to all Lee Associations members free of charge, who
are paid-Up and have taken the pre-requisite class of the districts E-Mail
class with Ms .Linda Carter.
For those substitutes who are not members you are invited to attend but will
be charged for the class.
The Association has had to hire paid instructors to teach this program.
There fore we must pay out of the treasury. The cost is FREE to all members,
and will cost $25:00 for non-members attendance. We recommend that those
non-members may wish to join the Association for $20:00 dues for the year
and enjoy other future activities of the Lee County Substitute Teachers
Association at no cost.
To sign up for the Smart Board Class please register with Vice President
Christine @ 694- 8236, or President Marvin @ 542 1746. Once again this is
the class you have asked for and we urge all to take advantage of this
training.
