Dear colleagues
I urge you to make a contribution to Linda's travel fund if you  can.
Linda is, of course, a very hard working officer of NSTA but she is  also a 
friend.
her surgery will, as I understand, be paid as a veteran benefit but  as she 
explains, in her usual "no nonsense" way she is stuck for  transportation.
I will be making a contribution tomorrow (It's after banking hours  now)
Marvin as the person geographically closest and as her local  president, 
will you please share any additional information you have.  
I also suggest, respectfully, that you make such philosophical or  
religious observance as you feel moved to do. In any case give her a "Good   
Wish"

To all my  friends: 
On Monday the 23rd  of April, I have to be at the Thoracic and 
Cardiovascular Surgery Center  at the Shands at U of Florida at Gainsville,  
Fl.  
Reason being, I  have a paralyzed left diaphragm and now living with one 
lung  working  and on 02 24/7. 
After my trip on  Monday the 23rd, I should have my surgery date for my 
lung and diaphragm  repair, or whatever
